When the move is imminent, there are a lot of things to
think about. Not surprising that you then have moments when you can no longer
see the wood for the trees... Of course, the most important thing is that
everything that needs to be packed is packed. And by 'packed,' we mean really
well packed. For packing, you need protective packaging material. You can buy
them from Britwrap.
The crockery you've saved up for in recent years, your
partner's 60-inch television that he prefers to move with his own hands, or that
(ugly) vase you inherited from your great-grandmother. These are just a few
examples of which we understand that they must survive the move unscathed. But,
with all those clumsy movers, that often seems easier said than done…
That's why: the 7 necessities for when moving!
1. Moving boxes
2. Clothing boxes
When everything is finally in the new house, you don't feel
like ironing shirts and blouses when you take them out of the boxes. But that's
convenient because, with the clothing box (including plastic rod!), the
clothing does not even have to be removed from the hanger and can go straight
back into the closet!
3. Bubble wrap
The tableware may still be neatly placed in the box, but
that does not guarantee that it will not break. Therefore, pack your belongings
with bubble wrap before they go into the box. The way to protect valuables and
ideal as a filler!
4. Moving Covers
Moving covers are available in different sizes and are
fantastic for giving that little bit of extra protection to larger objects such
as washing machines during the move. Store them neatly after the move because
they can be reused! Also, use a mattress
moving cover to store your mattress during moving.
5. Tape with dispenser
Everything safe and sound in the boxes? Then it is only a
matter of 'close the flaps', and Kees is done! Although, of course, you don't
want those boxes to open sneakily during transport... Therefore, seal those
flaps with sturdy packing tape! And believe us that a tape dispenser makes life
a lot easier!
6. Wrapping paper Turning
a box full of fragile items upside down is playing with
fire. Pack fragile items with wrapping paper. This way, you prevent fragile
items, such as ceramics and vases, from breaking during the move.
7. Labels with marker
empty house full of dozens of moving boxes. Where to start?
So be smart and provide each box with a self-adhesive label. Then write down
what's in the box with a permanent marker…
To move house? You are not crazy!
